Las Cruces Home Builder

If you are like many of your homes in Las Cruces NM neighbors, your time is extremely precious. And the last thing you want to do is spend hours or the entire weekend cleaning. Use these tips to cut down on the time it takes for you to clean your home.

Create a specific cleaning schedule

Clean at a particular time in a particular order. By cleaning at a specific time, you will create a habit that is easy to follow and will help get you in the cleaning mood. Throw on your favorite music, podcast, or audio book to keep you motivated and in the zone.

Follow a routine

There should be a method to the way you clean. Figure out your routine and follow it. Professionals usually start from the left to the right and also from the top to the bottom. The last thing you want to do is get dirt on something you just cleaned. Once you get the routine down you will be able to breeze through cleaning your home.

Keep your cleaning supplies handy

To clean quickly it is important to keep your supplies readily available. This will help you avoid searching for items last minute or having to rummage through different places to get them. Use a cleaning caddy or bucket to store your items. You may want to get a few depending on the size of your home. They can be kept under your sink or in your cleaning room.

Clean as you go

If you spill or drop something, clean it up or pick it up right away.  Make your bed as soon as you get up. Straighten the pillows and cushions once you get up from the couch. Wipe down the shower after you bathe, stove after you cook, and sink bowl after you brush your teeth, and so on. The goal is to not allow your messes to accumulate.
