New Mexico Hiking Trails to Enjoy this Winter

One of the benefits of living in New Mexico are the mild winters. Residents can take advantage of the cooler temps and head outdoors to enjoy the hiking trails near their new homes in Las Cruces NM.

There are many trails in New Mexico. There are moderate trails while others are a bit more difficult to navigate. Located in Las Cruces is the Baylor Canyon Pass Trail. A little more than four miles in length, the Baylor Canyon Pass Trail is rugged and offers picturesque scenery of wildflowers, birds and other wildlife. These trails are ideal for hiking and walking. They’re also kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Another trail to check out is Gavilan Trails. Situated within the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico, this is a great trail to check out during a day trip. It is a bit difficult to navigate the two-and-a-half-mile trail because of its steep trails. There is a waterfall and also views into Colorado. You may be enticed to take a nap or have a picnic at the Gavilan Falls. Percha Box is a perfect trail for bird watching, hiking, and nature walks. Located near Hillsboro, this trail is almost five-and-half-miles in length. It provides a great moderate like hike with great views of wildlife.

Hiking is a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors. One of the benefits of living in one of our homes is that our homes allow you to extend your outdoor living.
